Zombie Rising is exactly what I needed! The endless waves of zombies are super satisfying to mow down. I love how you have to constantly manage your ammo and health packs; it adds a nice layer of strategy beyond just shooting. Finding new weapons feels genuinely exciting, and each one has its own punch. It's easy to jump in and start blasting, but there's enough depth to keep you hooked for hours. Definitely a must-play if you're into arcade-style shooters with a zombie twist!
This game is INTENSE. Seriously, the 'relentless undead apocalypse' part isn't kidding. I found myself genuinely overwhelmed quite a few times, especially when the special zombies start showing up. It's a great challenge and super rewarding when you clear a tough wave, but sometimes it feels a little *too* unforgiving, even on normal difficulty. Maybe a slightly more gradual difficulty curve would be nice. Still, it keeps you on your toes and makes every bullet count!
The pixel art style in Zombie Rising really works for it. The dark, infested city feels genuinely grim, and the pixelated zombies have a surprisingly creepy vibe. It's not trying to be ultra-realistic, and that's fine. The lighting effects are pretty good, adding to the atmosphere, especially in darker corners. My only minor gripe is that after a while, the environments can start to look a little repetitive, but for an endless wave shooter, it holds up well. Solid presentation for what it is.
